Toodledo Folder Structure and Sync.

Toodledo Folder Structure and Sync.

Postby bernardo.fortes » Wed Mar 10, 2010 2:00 pm

It is mentioned that the subfolder structure is not replicated to Toodledo due to a Toodledo limitation (does not support sub-folders in it's free version).

Questions:

- Apparently, the paid version of Toodledo supports subfolders. If I upgrade to the paid version, will Action Lists Sync using Toodledo's subfolder support ?

- Basically, There are too many project folders in Toodledo and I can't separate them by a larger group (such as "Personal" and "work"). As a result, Toodledo's folder view get's full of projects (all of them) and it's a bit confusing. If I'm planning "work-stuff", I'd like (at least) to see all work-related folders in a sequence. Is there any known workaround ?

best regards,

Bernardo

Toodledo does not support subfolders in any way. Both paid and free have this limitation. What you are probably thinking of is "subtasks". The paid version of Toodledo does support subtasks, but only one level deep. But Since Action Lists uses Toodledo folders to represent projects, that won't help you. Sorry.

What about auto-project reordering (in Toodledo) during sync so that the folder order is the same in both apps.

I won't have the look and feel with sub-levels like in Action Lists:

Proj A
-----Proj A.1
-----Proj A.2
Proj B
-----Proj B.1

but, at least, it will turn todays mess...

Proj A.2
Proj B
Proj A
Proj B.1
Proj A.1

in to something more understandable:

Proj A
Proj A.1
Proj A.2
Proj B
Proj B.1

Is this possible ?

Sorry, that's not possible. There's no way to use Toodledo API to control the way that Toodledo sorts objects.
